PE Premium

The PE/Sport premium funding is additional funding to increase pupil participation in physical activity to promote and improve healthy lifestyles and enhance the quality of provision in Primary Schools.

 

We endeavour to use the funding to

• raise pupil aspirations and encourage them to participate in sporting activities (within and outside of school)
• develop staff expertise through continued professional development to provide effective curriculum activities and enrichment opportunities
• subsidise initiatives such as learn to swim programme to ensure full participation of all pupils
• employ specialist coaches to supplement and extend the range of clubs and enrichment opportunities on offer to all pupils
• support the purchase of resources to support and extend the range of inter-house events we offer pupils

 

In order to sustain the impact of these aims we are active members of  local and national organisations that, through collaboration, provide cost effective training, resources and opportunities for our pupils. These organisations include:

• Rushmoor and Hart PE network
• Youth Sports Trust
• 'Be the Best You Can Be' Olympic legacy programme

 

Children's participation is tracked and their achievements are acknowledged through our system of rewards including:

• Achievement points
• School values - friendship, respect, excellence, determination, inspiration, courage and equality
• Manor mile awards
• Inter-house and inter-school competitions
• Regular sporting newsletters celebrating successes
