Unbelievably it's a beautiful sunny day down by the sea! It's been a little bit windy, but that hasn't stopped an action packed day of fun! Aeroball, archery and the giant swing have all been enjoyed this morning. The activities keep on coming...

Last night's camp fire was a success, relocating indoors with singing and stories around a 'digital' camp fire. Happy memories were made.

Lunch now awaits and the cheers of excitement that a burger bar would be open for business in the canteen today could be heard far out to sea!

The children can't quite believe it's their last night tonight. No doubt they will return exhausted and sometimes a little bit teary as the excitement drifts away. All perfectly normal. Huge apologies in advance for the state of their kit!

We will keep you posted on our departure times tomorrow.

They can't wait to see you all soon!

The PGL crew are now half way through their epic adventure and loving every minute of it!

The windy, wet weather yesterday pm didn't dampen spirits as they took on the giant trapeze! The blue skies are trying to push through today and this afternoon, come rain or shine, they are all off to enjoy 'Raft Building'.

The behaviour of the group has been brilliant and our school has been complimented by the hosts PGL. The children are eating really well: Italian themed lunches, katsu curries, and make your own baguettes, have all been a huge hit!

Last night the children loved being detectives solving clues to win PGL's take on Cluedo - Who Stole the PGL Jewels? Was it 'Sammy the Sailor?' or 'Billy the Builder?' Only they know the answer.

The fun-tastic duo of Campbell & Spencer the two PGL 'groupies' looking after our school are both from Australia, so the children have been busy perfecting the native Lingo and trying out their best Aussie Accents. Great entertainment apparently!

More news coming soon...

The Year 6 had a fantastic first night away!

Yesterday afternoon they enjoyed various activities which included: getting a little muddy on the sensory trail, indoor climbing - scaling new heights - and the thrilling zip wire! Dinner was very welcome to fill some hungry tummies and even the salad bar was a huge hit!

Last night they ran off the last of their energies as they completed 'Passport to The World' (an orienteering challenge) and went to bed exhausted.

They were all a little surprised this morning when they were awoken by our staff to head to breakfast at 7.10am and it was still pitch black. Today is one of our pupil's birthdays - Happy Birthday Jay! - and the whole group have started the celebrations with a 3-course breakfast! Magically as they left the food hall this morning a stunning rainbow appeared which is surely a sign of a fun-filled day ahead!

Latest activity update - they were all off for a beach walk and maybe some fossil hunting!

More updates coming soon...

Monday 20th October 2025

Just a little update to let you know that everyone has arrived safely at Osmington Bay. Luckily it is a lot drier there than here! They are currently excitedly unpacking in their new rooms before their first activity later this afternoon.

More updates will follow!
