STITCH HEAD read by Guy Bass

In CASTLE GROTTESKEW, something BIG is about to happen... ...to someone SMALL. This is STiTCH HEAD, read by Guy Bass and featuring illustrations by Pete Will.

From Farnborough Library

We know there are children who eagerly look forward to reading their 6 books and collecting their medal each year to add to their collections and we wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know that your children will still be able to earn their Reading Challenge medals this summer! Things are going to be a bit different this year. The Reading Agency have brought together a fabulous digital offering to support this year's Reading Challenge and we would like to encourage all primary school aged children to take part.

We will be in touch again soon with links to more resources and instructions of how your students can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge when it begins in July. In the meantime here is a link to the Reading Agency's webpage about this year's Challenge: Silly Squad!

Guy Bass launches funny writing competition for children, inviting you to give him A WRITE LAUGH.

Guy is looking for nine hilarious stories written by children aged 5-13 years to publish in a special ebook which will be available for readers to download online. Stories should be no more than 500 words and they can be on any topic, but they must make the judges laugh out loud! Our friends at The Week Junior will also be selecting their favourite story to publish in the magazine.

There are three categories: 5-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-13 years and there will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner in each category. Also up for grabs are stacks of funny books and a subscription to The Week Junior Magazine.
